"For Consecrated Souls"
(32 pgs.) About This Title Blessed Dina Bélanger was born in Quebec, Canada, on April 30, 1897, and died on September 4, 1929. Though she lived only to her 33rd year, she reached a sublime degree of holiness, having received a special grace of sanctity which Jesus called "Divine Substitution." Known as Soeur Marie Sainte-Cécile de Rome in Religion, she — like St. Thérèse — was compelled by obedience to write an autobiography. Her book, which she called her "Canticle of Thanksgiving or Song of Love," is a fascinating tale of how God secretly sanctified this hidden soul with an astounding sanctity.
"For Consecrated Souls" was compiled from various entries of her Autobiography. The entries chosen were those in which Dina records her exchanges with Our Lord on the topic of consecrated souls (i.e. religious & priests). From them we learn how much Our Lord loves consecrated souls, what and how much He expects of them, how He is often disappointed and hurt by them, and how He wishes to raise them to a high level of sanctity.
This booklet was at first compiled for a young lady at the time of her entrance into the novitiate of a Poor Clare Monastery. However, considering the revelations of Our Lord on this subject important reading for virtually all religious and priests, For Consecrated Souls in now being made available here (with permission of the Religious of Jesus and Mary of Sillery [Quebec] Canada) for all to freely download. It is hoped that some who read this small booklet will have their appetite whetted for more, and go on to read the whole Autobiography — so full of wisdom for all who are seeking Christian perfection, whether consecrated souls or simple laity.
